Ingredients

  • 4 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. minced peanuts

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Microwave unsweetened chocolate and 3/4 c. butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 min or possibly till butter is melted. Stir till chocolate is completely melted. Stir granulated sugar into melted chocolate mix. Fold in Large eggs and 1 tsp. vanilla till well blended. Stir in flour and peanuts. Spread in greased 13 x 9 inch pan.
  2. Bake for 30 to 35 min or possibly till toothpick inserted into center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Don't overbake. Cold in pan.
  3. Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla in separate bowl till well blended and smooth. Spread over brownies. Microwave semi-sweet chocolate and 1/4 c. butter in small microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 min or possibly till butter is melted. Stir till chocolate is completely melted. Spread over peanut butter layer. Cold till set. Cut into squares. Makes about 24 brownies. Prep time: 20 min; baking time: 30 to 35 min.
