Ingredients

  • 2 c. white vinegar, 4 to 6% acidity
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. pickling salt (canning)

Directions

  1. Sterilize jars. Put clove of garlic in bottom and a head of dill. Layer 1/4 inch sliced, washed cucumbers in jar, then slice of onion till jar is filled. On top put more dill and another clove of garlic.
  2. Bring to boil and pour over cucumbers. Seal and process in water bath 10 min qts, 5 min pints.
