Marinade For Pork

This would be great on chicken too.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. boneless pork roast, loin, shoulder or pork chops
  • 1/2 c. apple juice (or for an added kick try 1/4 c. apple juice and 1/4 c. dark rum)
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

Directions

  1. Cut loin, roast or shoulder into 1 1/2 to 2 inch chunks. If using chops leave whole.
  2. Put meat into glass bowl.
  3. Mix remaining ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour over meat.
  5. Marinate 1 hour or cover and chill overnight.
  6. Thread chunks onto skewers.
  7. Barbecue or broil. Delicious!
