Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts quartered
  • 1 sm onion -- finely minced
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
  • 2 clv garlic -- chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 tsp salt -- optional
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 c. shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. In a skillet, saute/fry Brussels sprouts and onion in butter for 5 min. Add in garlic, lemon juice and peel, salt if you like, and pepper; saute/fry for 1 minute.
  2. Reduce heat to medium; cook and stir for 5 to 6 min or possibly till the sprouts are tender. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
