Easy Custard Recipe

This is an easy homemade recipe from another mom. You can put in your own twist. I change cake flavors sometimes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 250g butter (room temp)
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 custard powder
  • 1 cup milk

Directions

  1. Pre heat oven to 160°C
  2. Pour all ingredients in the mixer until all are combined.
  3. Pour into a lined deep square tin. (23-25cm deep)
  4. Bake for 1 hour.
  5. Check if the cake is set with a toothpick.
  6. Chill for about 15mins then cut and serve.
