Ingredients Convert Measures
- 500 g okra/lady finger,cut to half-inch rings
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 medium onion,finely sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes,chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- Heat oil in a pan.Add onion and stir fry until light brown.
- Add tomatoes and stir fry for a few minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients except okra.Keep stirring it.
- Add 1/2 cup of water and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Stir fry until oil separates.Add okra and cook on slow heat,stirring ocassionally until done.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and green chillies,if desired.
- Serve with chappati/paratha.
