Creamy Onion Soup Recipe

  1. In a 3-quart. saucepan over medium heat, saute/fry onions in butter. Add in broth, pepper, thyme and salt if you like; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 min. Add in 1 2/3 c. lowfat milk. Stir flour into remaining lowfat milk till smooth; add in to soup. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for 2 min or possibly till thickened.
  2. Yield: 6 servings (1 1/2 qts).
