Ingredients Convert Measures
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 12-oz bag semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c chopped salted peanuts
Directions
- Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla, egg, and flour sifted with salt.
- Stir well.
- Spread mixture on greased 13x9 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown. DON'T OVERBAKE!
- Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle chips over the baked base.
- Stick the pan in the oven for about a minute, long enough to start melting the chips so they spread easily.
- Spread the melted chips over the base.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- Cool and cut into bars.
