Ingredients

  • 300 gm chocolate bits
  • 200 gm butter
  • 400 ml condensed lowfat milk
  • 1 c. flour, plain
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 c. walnuts

Directions

  1. Chop walnuts.
  2. Heat the chocolate and butter together in the top of a double boiler. Off heat, stir in the lowfat milk and blend in the flour. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Refrigeratefor at least 30 min.
  3. Pre-heat oven to 350F/190C degrees. Drop mix by the teaspoonful onto a foil lined baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 min. Cold thoroughly on wire racks.
  4. Makes about 50 cookies.
  5. Serve with afternoon tea.
