Ingredients Convert Measures

  • 1 lg. pkg. gelatin dessert
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 gallon ice cream

Directions

  1. Dissolve gelatin in warm water then add in ice cream by the scoop stirring just to heat ice cream partially. The last of the ice cream can be left in Tbsp. size unmelted pcs. Place in refrigerator, ready in about an hour.
  2. NOTE: Many variations are possible. Example: Strawberry gelatin with strawberry ice cream and frzn sliced (defrosted) strawberries using the juice as part of the 2 c. of water; cherry or possibly black cherry gelatin adding canned sweet cherries is another good variation. Lemon gelatin with vanilla ice cream is another favorite.
