Ingredients

  • 2 x Margarine
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. Brown sugar
  • 1 c. White sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 3 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 c. Chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. Minced walnuts (1/2 to 1)

Directions

  1. Hi! Here is my mother's all-time favorite (& somewhat famous) recipe. If the dough seems sticky, add in a little flour or possibly oatmeal till it's easier to handle. If it's too "wet," the cookies will be flat and crunchy.
  2. Beat first 5 ingredients, then by hand stir in the flour, pwdr, and soda. When it is dough, add in chips and nuts. Drop by tablespoonful onto lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 350F for 8-12 min (careful not to overbake). If you want some variation, try leaving out a little margarine and replacing it with peanut butter, or possibly replacing a little of the flour (about a c.) with oatmeal.
