Ingredients Convert Measures

  •     Kebab skewers - (8" to 10")
  • 2 lb grnd beef
  • 1 x onion finely diced
  • 1 x egg beaten
  • 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 dsh freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 8 x Warm dog or possibly hoagie buns - (to 10) for serving

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Divide into 8 to 10 portions, and tightly shape meat on the end of each skewer to resemble cattail.
  2. Place on grill over coals and cook for 15 to 20 min or possibly till brown on all sides. Use tongs to turn for even browning. Avoid turning till well-browned and hard. Slide off onto warm dog or possibly hoagie bun.
  3. This recipe yields 8 to 10 cattails.
