Directions

  1. Make the cake:Preheat oven to 350.Mix together flour, salt, baking soda, and spices.
  2. In separate bowl beat together apple sauce, sugar, and egg.
  3. Stir flour mix into applesauce mix, then add in raisins.
  4. Pour batter into 9X13 inch baking dish sprayed lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Bake 30 min.
  6. Meanwhile, make the topping:Mix together the topping ingredients and spread over the top of the cake (after it's baked for 30 min).
  7. Return the cake to the oven and bake for an additional 20-30 min.
  8. The topping won't set, but will dry and "coalesce" somewhat.
  9. Makes at 12 servings
  10. Eat it up!
