Ingredients Convert Measures

  • 2-3 cans of van de camp beans, 3 slices of bacon sliced and diced, I onion diced, shake or 2 of worschershire sauce, 1/4 cup of mustard, 1/2- 3/4 cup brown sugar.

Directions

  1. Slice and dice the oinions & bacon saute in fry pan. (caste iron best or enamel) Carmelized for sweet taste...turn the onions to opaque color for stronger flavor. Drain the fat if You like from the bacon and onions. Add beans,( do not drain) ,worchishire sauce,sugar and mustard. If oven safe fry pan Place in oven at 325 for 1-1 1/2 hour
  2. Half way thru taste for your sweetness or mustard. Continue til a very slight cooked film on top of dish. Eat hot or cold. better next day.
