Ingredients Convert Measures

  • 1 lb Grnd beef
  • 1/2 c. Minced onion
  • 1/4 c. Diced green pepper
  • 1 can Tomato sauce, (8 ounce.)
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic salt
  • 2 tsp Chili pwdr
  • 1/2 c. Shredded pizza cheese*
  • 1/2 c. Dairy lowfat sour cream*
  • 1 x Egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 can Biscuits, (8 ounce.)
  • 4 slc American cheese

Directions

  1. Brown grnd beef, onion and green pepper. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic salt and chili pwdr and simmer. Combine pizza cheese, lowfat sour cream and egg and mix well. Remove meat from heat and stir in lowfat sour cream mix.
  2. Separate biscuits into halves. Put 10 halves into bottom of a 9 x 9" pan.
  3. Spoon meat sauce over biscuits. Arrange other biscuits on top of meat and cover with slices of American cheese. Bake at 375 for 30 min till golden.
  4. mozzarella. I also used light lowfat sour cream.
  5. NOTE: Made this 11/12/97. Verygood, nice for cool weather dish. F.J.
