Ingredients Convert Measures

  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 c. Orange juice
  • 1 c. Oil
  • 3 c. Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr

Directions

  1. Beat Large eggs with sugar and vanilla till light and lemon colored. Add in juice, and oil, and then the dry ingredients one Tbsp. at a time. Beat well.
  2. Variations:NUT CAKE: add in wine instead of the juice, add in one half c. minced nuts and 100 grams of grated bittersweet chocolate
  3. MARBLE CAKE: Add in 2 Tbspn cocoa to 1/3 of the batter
  4. SPICE CAKE: add in 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp, ginger and 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  5. CHOCOLATE CAKE: add in 1/2 c. cocoa and you can switch thejuice with lowfat milk.
  6. ORANGE CAKE: add in the grated peel of one orange. Optionally, add in raisins.
  7. Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
