Ingredients Convert Measures
- 12 taco shells, fully cooked
- 1 pound lean grnd beef
- 1/4 c. onion, minced
- 1 can (8 ounce.) tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1 c. lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 c. (2 ounce.) natural sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
- Brown grnd beef and onion in a frying pan. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomato sauce and chili pwdr. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cook 10 to 15 min uncovered, stirring occasionally, till mix is dry and crumbly. Fill taco shells with approximately 2 Tbsp. of meat mix. Mix tomato, lettuce and cheese. Spoon about 2 Tbsp. over beef in taco shells.
