Beef Goulash

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 (16 ounce.) pkg. wide egg noodles, cook and drain
  • 3 pound chuck roast (boneless, cubed) or possibly stew meat
  • 6 tbsp. flour
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 tbsp. oil
  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • 3 1/2 c. onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, fine chopped
  • 4 c. water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon meat tenderizer (mix with flour)

Directions

  1. Coat beef cubes with flour and brown in oil. Add in onion and cook, stirring once in awhile, for 5 min. Add in rest of ingredients, cover, and simmer till meat is tender - about 2 1/2 hrs. Stir occasionally. Serve over warm egg noodles. 6-7 servings.
