Baked Onion Slices

A wonderful side dish companion for any main dish entree!

Ingredients

  • 5 Large Onions, peeled, and sliced into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 Chicken Bouillon cubes, smashed
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 2 Tbsps. Butter or Margarine, cut into small pieces
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Arrange sliced onions in a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish.
  2. Dissolve smashed bouillon cubes in the hot water. Pour over onion slices.
  3. Dot butter pieces over the onion slices.
  4. Bake, uncovered, at 375* for 45-60 minutes, or until onions are tender.
  5. (If they become dry while baking, add more hot water).
