About me
The story goes that my grandfather was a stowaway on a boat from Greece. He was not sure how old he was, 9 to 12 years. He eventually landed in San Francisco and would go to restaurants and wash dishes for a bowl of soup. A chef took him under his wing and taught him everything. I grew up in restaurants with a chef grandfather who swore his family would never go hungry, and we never did. Good food has always been a big part of my life. Of course I love Greek food but I love to try everything. My mom is fantastic at Italian and Chinese food. I get on kicks just as she does and experiment. I spent a month in Israel and really got a taste for the Middle East.
I am the proud mother of 4 sons and 4 grandchildren. Number 5 is on the way!!
I was widowed 5 years ago. I miss being able to cook for someone special. I have owned and operated a custom drapery workroom for 25 years.
