About me
My love for cooking started as soon as I was old enough to stir with a wooden spoon. My mom is an amazing baker, which resulted in my spending hours in the kitchen cutting out cookies, kneading dough, and rolling pastry. Admittedly, I'm much more of a baker than a cook. After working in restaurants and hotel catering through college however; I got hooked on everything food. I go through cooking phases -- one month it's the crock pot, then I'm all about soups, then I can't get enough stir frys, so I cook a wide variety. While I don't always have time for 6 course dinner parties, they are still one of my favorite things to do. Of course, baking contiues to dominate my kitchen time and I look forward to holidays, showers and parties where I usually end up baking theme cakes and cookies. Oh- I'm also hosting a wine tv show, www.intowine.com, which has been great for figuring out what to serve with everything I make.
